Bonsai Hedera

Hedera helix, the common ivy, English ivy, European ivy, or just ivy, is a species of flowering plant in the family Araliaceae, native to most of Europe and western Asia. A rampant, clingingevergreen vine, it is a familiar sight in gardens, waste spaces, on walls, tree trunks and in wild areas across its native habitat. Hedera is the generic term for ivy. The specific epithet helix derives from Ancient Greek "twist, turn", and from the Latin helicem, "spiral-shaped," first used around 1600. It ranges from Ireland northeast to southern Scandinavia, south to Portugal, and east to Ukraine and Iran and northern Turkey.

Bonsai is an Asian art form using cultivation techniques to produce small trees in containers that mimic the shape and scale of full size trees. Similar practices exist in East Asian cultures, including the Chinese tradition of pensai from which the Japanese version Bonsai originated. The Japanese tradition dates back over a thousand years. The Japanese loanword “bonsai” has become an umbrella term in English, attached to many forms of potted or other plants, and also on occasion to other living and non-living things.

A bonsai tree is a symbol of patience, tolerance and diligence.

The particularity of our bonsais is that it is almost impossible to create two identical trees, as each of them is a unique handmade craftsmanship, and the unique and irregular shape of their vineyards also makes each piece unique.
